It is going to be an exciting year in Blount County. There are many anniversaries to celebrate. Maryville College has already kicked off their 200-year anniversary. If you are a member of the Blount County Genealogical & Historical Society, you have received our new January Newsletter with the list of Maryville College events. The first edition of our Newsletter was also sent to some persons that were members but did not yet renew their membership in 2019. The next Newsletter will be issued in October of 2019 and will be mailed ONLY TO MEMBERS. Each issue of the Journal is now around 80 pages, more than any other genealogical periodical we have seen. If you have not yet renewed your membership, do it now before you miss the next issue of the Journal and Newsletter.
