I was recently asked about submitting new information to the Family Files in the Blount County Public Library / Reference Department. This is my response that applies to all submittals
Want to acceptable to submit to the Family Files. #1 must have a connection to Blount County Tennessee #2 must be a readable document copy or photo without large black copied edging. Must meet these standards to be considered any further as to content.
We are able to add copies of original documents. Created stories or research will be added to the files if they are clearly presented, easy to read and represent genealogical facts. Rambling thoughts and notes written down on paper will not be placed in the files. The BCGHS and BCPL reserves the right to refuse any documents or submittals and dispose of unuseable materials unless an SASE is provided for the materials return via USPS. mail submittals to bcghs@yahoo.com attn: April for Family Files.
