The Newberry Library's Atlas of Historical County Boundaries offers a free PDF download of historical boundaries of all Tennessee counties. The PDF (zip file) is at the bottom of this page. Please make sure downloaded usage follows the Creative Commons License agreement. This document is over 1,000 pages and 50 MB in size. I have created a file from this document that contains only the progression of Blount County's borders since its inception. Click this link to access my edited PDF document.

Donny: Thanks for posting the boundary maps with the extra info. I learned that Loudon was once called Christiana. Also learned that Blount County lost land to Roane in 1815 to 1823. Those years just happen to be the years Blount County is missing the court records. Blount County Chancery court was in held in Roane County during those years but I have not been able to find any of Blount County's records there. Anyone know of Blount County Records between 1815 and 1823? April
